The name itself holds two meanings: it’s the nautical measure of depth (6ft), the span of a man’s outstretched arms, used by mariners of old; and it also means to understand deeply, to imagine, to find meaning or purpose; to grasp the unfathomable against all odds. Both definitions lie at the heart of Fathom, connecting the physical and the emotional depths of the ocean.
